NAN’s Family Experience Coordinator will schedule your first meeting with the family. NAN’s Child Life Specialist will join you for a one-hour “meet and greet” session to gently introduce you to the children and the parent(s). Our Child Life Specialist will conduct an assessment of the children’s cancer knowledge and behaviour as it relates to the mom’s illness. She may be visiting with the mom while you get to know the children. You will have a chance to debrief with the Child Life Specialist and discuss the assessment following the initial visit.
