Earning your award from CACHE means that your certificate comes from a national Awarding Organization, providing a guarantee that your qualification is of a high standard.
Established in 1945, CACHE was created by the UK Ministry of Health under the name of the National Nursery Examination Board (NNEB). This board set the syllabus for the first national nanny examination which took place in 1947. In 1994, NNEB merged with the Council for Early Years Awards to form CACHE.
As a CACHE Customized Qualification, Foundation Practice for Nannies undergoes an annual External Quality Assurance and Review. This review monitors procedures to ensure the internal assessment and quality assurance decisions are in accordance with CACHE requirements.
CACHE Qualifications are only available through CACHE Approved Centres. CACHE Approved Centres undergo a rigorous evaluation process. Once awarded approval, CACHE Centres are approved to offer CACHE Accredited Courses. Foundation Practice for Nannies, the only US Based and online CACHE Customized Qualification, is offered exclusively through Nanny Stella, Inc. Nanny Stella, Inc. is the only US Based CACHE Approved Centre.
Recognizing the need for an entry-level course that would provide nannies with a solid overview of best practices, industry information and current childcare standards, as well as a third party US Based independent nanny accreditation, Foundation Practice for Nannies was developed and in 2018 gained approval as a CACHE Customized Accreditation.
